DAY 1: HOW TO TACKLE THE DECLUTTERING PROCESS

Let’s kick this whole process off by addressing the number one problem in most kitchens - having too much 'stuff'. It is
just not possible to have an efficient and functional kitchen if your cupboards, drawers and shelves are completely overcrowded and your countertops are covered in stuff!

The first step in getting your kitchen more organised is to pare down to just the things you consistently use and need that will make your time in the kitchen most efficient.

While it can be tempting to fill your kitchen with the latest appliance or accessory, it is of no benefit to you if it:

a/ does not significantly reduce your cooking time

b/ does not get a lot of use

c/ takes up a large amount of storage space.

And if storage is limited in your kitchen, the best way to create more is by minimising what you actually hold onto and store in this space!

In this video, we're talking all about how to tackle the decluttering process, what could be holding you back from getting started, and what to do with the things you're wanting to get rid of.

Today's Action Steps:

  1. Download your Challenge Workbook, and go the 'Excuses For Not Decluttering Your Kitchen' table. Tick any of the reasons and excuses that apply to you/resonate with you, which could be holding you back from having a more organised and less cluttered kitchen. Think about what you could do to overcome these excuses.

  2. Fill out the 'What Could Be Decluttered From Your Kitchen' table, ticking any of the categories that need to decluttered from your own kitchen. Identify which 3 categories need to be decluttered the most.

And report into the Facebook Group when you’re done!
