The build of this shed turned out to be a bigger project than we anticipated, so I hope you're prepared for photo overload! We achieved a lot over three weekends of hard work in pretty hot weather. Not only did we erect the shed, we also did a lot of garden clearing, extended the drip system, and fixed up the kids' backyard play area. So glad to have it all finished!
One of my (potentially over-ambitious) organisation goals for Jan-Feb was to get the home office sorted. All good to plan these things when you're relaxing on holidays, but facing the reality of this is quite a big job, particularly with kids at your feet 24/7! So, I'm tackling the home office in stages, which is a good way to approach any overwhelming job.
I often get asked 'what does a personal organiser actually do?' so today I thought I would share a recent job I completed so you can see for yourself! Basically, I am passionate about helping others get organised in their homes. This blog gives lots of tips and ideas, but sometimes it can be too overwhelming to tackle a disorganised space yourself, no matter how much information you have about how to do it. That is where I can step in and help you set up a space that works for you [and your family], essentially helping you to 'take back your life'.
A few months ago, a client asked me to help organise her sewing room. She had just moved into a new house, and needed help setting up the space. In order to come up with an exciting plan for moving forward, I researched some 'real' spaces, looking for rooms that were not only beautiful, but could also be achieved without spending a lot of money.
