Today is an honest post, as things have been so hectic around here lately that I really need to unleash! I recently took on a new job, and although it is an exciting new venture and I'm really enjoying myself so far, it has also been very time-consuming and a stressful process learning the ropes. Having 4 jobs on the go, plus looking after 2 young kids and running a house, was all getting just a bit too much, and last week I had a big cry. Emotions have been running high this month for sure!
I'm back today with more fantastic natural and low-cost cleaning recipes, including my favourite - washing powder. I talked last week about why I've decided to use natural, homemade cleaners in my home. I've wanted to go all-green for a while now, but always thought it would be such a time-consuming process. But in reality, once you have all the necessary products, the mixtures are relatively quick and easy to make. I believe that spending a bit of time and effort early on not only saves you money, but is good for the environment and ultimately better for your health, as you're not ingesting any nasty chemicals.
I've been doing a bit of reorganising in the laundry this past month as we just installed a second freezer in there. There was nowhere else to put it, really, so it forced us to rethink this space and do a mini makeover. A few things remained a necessity for my laundry space, though, and one was to have the washing supplies close at hand to make doing laundry as quick and pain-free as possible. Enter the tray as a wonderful storage solution!
This year, I am on a cleaning mission to convert to all natural cleaning products for my home. I started this process last year when I was cleaning the house for our Christmas party and I was testing out different window/glass cleaners. Since then, I've been doing further research into all-natural homemade cleaners, and thought I'd share the first lot of recipes with you today, as I've had great success with them.
