DAY 3: THIS COULD BE A GAME-CHANGER
Getting today's category decluttered and organised could actually be a total game-changer for how you spend time in the kitchen. I'm talking not only about saving a huge amount of time and effort every day, but also eliminating unnecessary frustration with just a few simple organisation tweaks.
The category I'm referring to is your container collection. Those pesky containers of various shapes and sizes that are so hard to store; that come tumbling out all over the floor whenever you're trying to find a matching set; that never seem to have a perfectly fitting lid; that seem to mysteriously multiply without your knowledge...
Keeping this clutter-prone category under control, let alone organised, can definitely be challenging. And if you feel frustrated every time you open the door or drawer to retrieve a food storage container, or it takes you forever to find what you're looking for, then today's challenge is definitely for you!
I want to save you the frustration of a disorganised container collection and help you create a system that's a whole lot easier to maintain. Of course, before you create your new organised system, the first step is to go through your container collection and do a big purge.
You're looking to get rid of any of the following:
- Containers that are missing lids (if the container is a good size, stay tuned for the tip at the end of this video!)
- Containers that are broken, chipped, stained, unusable... past it!
- Containers that aren't a useful size/can't hold much
- Containers you rarely/never use
- Spare lids that don't belong with a matching container
Be as ruthless as you can with your decluttering by carefully considering whether you need and use each one, and how many storage containers you really need to have!
Good luck with today's challenge - I know that creating this new organising system could be a real game-changer for you! Can't wait to see what you come up with, be sure to share in the Facebook Group when you’re done!
