On a daily basis, I get asked questions about home organisation - be it from my subscribers; those in my Home Balance Facebook community; or friends and family. I love receiving these questions, and respond to each and every one, with an aim to provide detailed and individualized advice and suggestions.

Not that I have all the answers by any means! All I can do is share what does (and doesn't) work for me, and for my clients, when it comes to getting more organised. But I always think it's good to hear someone else's perspective on an issue you're having, and possibly pick up some new ideas that you may not have considered before.

As some of you may be aware, I recently released my new guide 'Clever Kitchens'. After months of hard work behind the scenes, it was so exciting to finally be able to share it with you all!

Clever Kitchens is made up of a few components. Primarily, there is the Ultimate Guide - 11 detailed chapters of actionable tips and strategies to help you create a kitchen you'll love spending time in, and that will save you time and energy on a daily basis.

The kitchen is often considered to be the heart of the home. Whether you're sharing a meal with friends or family, preparing breakfast, lunches or dinners, baking, doing the dishes, putting away groceries, meal planning…. There’s no denying it's a space we spend a lot of time in!

So it's extremely important that your kitchen is a space you actually enjoy spending time in! If your kitchen is cluttered, messy, packed to the brim with 'stuff' and items are difficult to access and find, it'll likely leave you feeling stressed, overwhelmed and frustrated.

On the other hand, imagine a kitchen that is organised, efficient, clutter-free and neat, safe, with everything easy to find and access. Essentially, a space you're happy to spend time in. A space that saves you time, energy, and effort on a daily basis. Not to mention the cost-saving effect of knowing exactly what you have and not purchasing things you already own.

Sounds much more enjoyable, right?

How to set up a super-organised wardrobe

How to set up a super-organised wardrobe

I recently shared with your our new master bedroom and the nice big empty space we had awaiting us for a new walk-in wardrobe. Well, me being me, I just couldn't wait any longer to get it set up! It was driving me nuts having to go up and down the stairs to our old bedroom every time I needed something to wear... which happens more than you think #firstworldproblems. Sick of my whinging, hubby bit the bullet one night and got to work.

If you had to name the main clutter zones in your house, there are usually 2 main hot spots. The first is the kitchen bench or table, where paperwork, lunch boxes, keys, glasses, mail and random bits and pieces often get dumped. And the second common clutter-zone is the entryway. Whether you enter through the front door or through a side or back entrance, the entryway is often where shoes, bags, keys, coats and hats get thrown. If you don't have organised zones set up to 'catch the clutter', then it's easy for the mess to build up and become overwhelming.

A sneak peek at our new kitchen!

I'm just a little bit excited today to be giving you a sneak peek at our new kitchen! This video was actually filmed before we moved in, so it's a look at the bare bones of the kitchen layout... and yes, at this stage, there was still a fair bit of mess lying around, and dirty drawers. But I'm still super excited to show this great space off to you all today!
